*  A first ever showing of ‘China Stone Art & Embroidery Painting’ in Canada   was held at the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Vancouver in Oct 12-19, 2002.  Provincial Art Master Mr. Lin Dong arrived from China to host the exhibition where over 200 exhibits were displayed.

*  ‘China Stone Art Exhibition’ was held at CCM Centre in Crystal Mall of Burnaby, B.C., Canada during Chinese New Year of 2003.  Over 100 exhibits were displayed in the exhibition.

*  As part of year 2003 of Asian Heritage Month programs in B.C. of Canada, stone art works by artists Ken Chen and Lin Shek were featured in the Terry Fox Library of Port Coquitlam.

 

*  A show of ‘China Stone Art’ held from July 24 – Aug 11, 2003 in Vancouver’s Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden attracted more than 5,000 visitors.

*   A brief talk by Tim Hui on ‘China Stone Art’ took place on 13 Aug, 2003 from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at the Terry Fox Library, Port Coquitlam. 

 

*   A speech of ‘China Stone Art – The Future of Artistic World and a Good Investment for Next Generation’ by Tim Hui to the members of Business Referral Club took place on 26 Aug, 2003 at 7:45pm to 8:45pm at Neptune Seafood Restaurant, Richmond of British Columbia.

*   “2004 Wood and Stone Art Show” took place in Richmond, B.C. Canada.  Over 150 exhibits were displayed and about 800 people attended during the period from Feb 1-9, 2004.

*   China Overseas Shoushan Stone Association was established on June 28, 2004.  The association has beed affiliated with Fujian Research Society of Culture and Art of Shoushan Stone, a semi-government authority in China.

*   On 10 Sept, 2004, Tim Hui and Thomas Wong were received by Hon. Raymond Chan, Minister of Multiculturalism of Canada,
     while a gift of Chinese Calligraphy being presented for the Minister’s new office in Richmond, B.C.

 

 

·           The book of “Shoushan Stone Art” edited by Tim Hui has been published to mark the founding of

China Overseas Shoushan Stone Association.

 

 

·           In October, 2005, famous actor Elly Leung (Yue Hua) was appointed PR Ambassador to help promote

Chinese Stone Art worldwide.  Also pictured at the appointment ceremony are Art Master/Permanent Honorary President

·           “2006 Shoushan Stone Art Touring Exhibition” began in Hong Kong from Jan7 to 15, 2006 at the

Commercial Press Exhibition Hall, Star House, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

·       “The Incredible Stone Artworks by Don Liu” show took place in Dec 2006 at “Bao Qu Tang” Gallery,

     Intercontental Hotel, T.S.T. East, Hong Kong.

 

 

·       The first ever auction outside mainland China focusing on Shoushan Stone Art took place on 27 May, 2007

at Hotel Inter-Continental Hong Kong.  The event was a great success and was indeed a historic milestone.

·       2007 Shoushan Stone Art Touring Exhibition started in Hong Kong during 28 June 8 July.

·       More than 150 pieces of stone artwork were displayed in the Touring Exhibition Toronto during Sept 14-23, 2007.

·       The Touring Exhibition Singapore took place at Commercial Press Book Store in Jan 19-27, 2008.

·       The first ever introduction of Shoushan Stone by China Guardian Auctions Company, under the category of contemporary
art of Chinese carving, took place in Beijing on April 27, 2008.  Witnessing this remarkable moment are Tim Hui and famous
Shoushan Stone artists Fei Lin, Shibin Zheng, and Ji Zheng.

 

 

 

·       Coming Up:
Year 2009 Touring Exhibition Hong Kong will take place in March 21-29, 2009 at Le Long Gallery, 68 Lok Ku Road, Shop8,
